Philip Edward Island kayaking trip ***** Reviewed July 2023
My daughter and two grandsons and myself did a three day two night Philip Edward Island kayaking trip last week. Killarney Outfitters did a spectacular job outfitting us with everything required and then some. The meals were excellent and the campsite recommended on West Desjardins Bay was spectacular. I highly recommend their services!

14 motivated people provide services that come together to an unbeatable experience for the customer. Our 3 day Kayak trip was prepared with much care and systematic thoroughness that was impressive. The equipment provided was of extremely high quality. Reliable equipment and outfiiters decades of experience made it possible for us with barely any previous experience to navigate with the Kayak through the archipelago of Philip Edwards Island and master winds and currents as well as cooking our own meals in the wilderness. It was fantastic.

Amazing fully outfitted canoe trip ***** Reviewed July 2020
We are an Ontario family of four. Our teenagers camp and summer jobs were cancelled because of COVID. So a local canoe trip seemed the perfect get away. We went for the fully outfitted trip since our gear was older and my husband and I had not tripped since we had kids. Both our boys were experienced trippers from summer camp. We booked an ambitious 10 day canoe trip. The Killarney Outfitter team was spectacular. They customized our trip and made many special additions for us when requested, such as a water taxi drop off to Bai Fine, a fishing trip add on, a car drop off to our take out, a mid trip food drop, and more. We were in very good hands. The owner Ted and Mike our outfitter were spectacular. There store was also very well stocked. Excellent Trip. My only word of advice to future trippers is to ask for less food if doing a lot of portages.

Superb Planning ***** September 16 2019
We did the 78+ Hike and we had Killarney Outfitters plan our routes and reserve our daily camp sites! We rented the gear that respected proper weight allowance for us to back pack for an entire 7 1/2 day’s! From tent to cook stove to compass and cook pot! We lacked absolutely nothing! We had peace of mind that we were going to make it through and we did! A trip of a life time. Thank You Mike Ted and Anne we more than made it! I’m coming back for more!

We were lucky to get a last minute weekday booking for a three day canoe trip on Johnnie and Bell lake with Killarney Outfitters. They were friendly and helpful at every stage during the planning of our trip, providing top quality gear (camping and canoe equipment) as well as a barrel full of delicious food which we had selected from their menu! They provided everything we could possibly need as well as helping us plan our route and book camp sites. Their staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon! Thank you! :)

Great outfitting experience for our kayak trip Reviewed August 2017
8 of us (two families) spent 5 days kayaking in the Killarney/Philip Edward Island area. We rented kayaks, tents and other camping necessities from Killarney Outfitters.

Their website outlines costs and available equipment and they were available for phone calls as well.

They made sure all of our equipment was functional and had no qualms about switching out items with which we weren't satisfied. All of the equipment we rented was in good, clean condition.

They even went above and beyond and threw in a few smaller items they felt we would need without asking.

If you are planning any trips in the area, call Killarney Outfitters.

Outfitting a super trip into Killarney Park ... ***** Reviewed August 2016
I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia, with little in the way of canoe/camp equipment (and certainly whatever I had was far too heavy to fly with). So my son and I signed up for the deluxe package, which covered lake reservations, trip planning, equipment (top notch) and food (an almost embarrassing amount, though my fault because I checked the heavy eater category on the drop-down meal planner). KO mapped out a 5 1/2 day canoe/camp route in the park, and it went beautifully. The people there were very, very helpful. Prices for individual items may be higher than normal, but given the isolation of Killarney (i.e. how long it takes to get things there) I'm not overly surprised. Besides, I suspect that most people who show up at Killarney already have most/all of the equipment/food they need, so are (perhaps) only looking for canoes -- so to complain about the cost of last minute purchase items is probably unfair. But for someone like me the package deal was more than worth it, and was beautifully executed. One other thing: the first two nights the food included home-cooked meals -- chili one night, and spaghetti (sauce with meatballs) the other. They were both fantastic. Whoever the cook was, they knew what they were doing.

Ted East and the staff at Killarney Outfitters are amazing!

Our family of 4 purchased their complete equipment package for a 5 day canoe trip throughout the park and while we were unable to get site reservations that we wanted, Killarney Outfitters was able to watch for cancellations and plan and amazing trip!

All their equipment was outstanding (clean and well maintained) and meal planning and packing was awesome!

Very strongly recommended!

Being from out of province and unable to easily transport canoes and kit, we chose Killarney Outfitters as our equipment provider for our family vacation.

From the top of the range tents, sleeping bags, stoves and fantastic food selection to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, Killarney Outfitters exceeded any and all expectations (and doubts) that we may have had in using an outfitter service.

We enjoyed 3 nights and 4 superb days in Killarney and quite simply we could never have.

“Best Camping/Canoe trip ever” ***** Reviewed July 31, 2015

Haven't been on a canoe trip since i was ten (4 decades ago!!) but i convinced my husband and another couple to join me for 3 nights and 4 days in Killarney.
We booked our sites months in advance, or so i thought....turns out you really need to book January 1st not April for the busy months of July and August - in any case we were able to book 3 nights on Johnnie Lake - i had hoped we would move around each night - but it turned out that this was the perfect plan for us. Not being in our 20's anymore, it was nice not to have to break camp and move each day. Perfect paddling distance from Silver Peak hike and Bell Lake.

Since we were beginners and didn't have all the equipment we chose Killarney Outfitters to take of everything from canoes, paddles and tents as well our full vegetarian menu - their veggie chilli was fantastic! i would highly recommend them.

All the equipment was first rate and in fantastic shape.

We were lucky to get site 63 on Johnnie but it looked like every site was gorgeous and you just can't go wrong...i would definitely do it again! we even fished - how fun.

At the end of our trip we went into Killarney town for fish and chips, of course!
